We walk by faith ...

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

It is the core of our belief system and affects how we view life. Faith gives us the courage to take risks and try new things, even when uncertain about outcomes. It helps us to be confident in difficult situations because we know that God will work out the details for us. Faith also allows us to persevere through tough times, trusting God has a plan for our lives. Faith leads us to seek the good in all situations, trusting that God will bring something positive out of every circumstance. Through faith, we can rest assured that whatever happens is meant to be part of His greater purpose and divine timing. Ultimately, faith gives us hope and strength to carry on, no matter what we face. At the core, faith is about believing that God has a plan and will work everything out for our good. It’s living each day with the assurance that He is in control, and that His plans are always better than ours.

Through faith, we understand that the worlds (ages)were framed (prepared) by the word of God so that the things which are seen were not made by the things which do appear. Hebrews 11:3

The wisdom and love that went into the preparation of this earth age is unsearchable. God thought of every resource so that his children would have everything that they need. He is a loving Father and he gives us every reason to trust.

When we have faith in God, we are trusting that He knows what is best for us, even when things seem to make no sense. We can trust that he will never leave us or forsake us and nothing can separate us from his love. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

You must understand that God is the creator of your soul, and the entire heaven and earth. He is all power and you must believe that in order to be pleasing to him. The Lord desires for us to earnestly seek (ekzeteo) after him. This means to search out, enquire, desire, and even worship. We must be willing to have faith in our Heavenly Father, and trust him through all of life's storms. Faith is the only way we can please God, and it is a gift that He has given us. We should never take it for granted!

Through faith, we can find peace and joy even in the midst of our trials.

Faith gives us the courage to face life’s struggles head on and to embrace the unknown. Faith allows us to lean into His promises. By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. Hebrews 11:8

In conclusion, faith also is a reflection of our love for God. We can have faith that He will never leave us and that His promises are true. As we grow in our faith, our trust in God increases as well. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 1 Thessalonians 5:8

PRAYER REQUESTS

At our church, prayer is an important part of our spiritual practice. Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and  supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God (Phillipians 4:17). We believe that prayer can bring us closer to God and help us find peace and comfort in difficult times. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him (James 5:14-15).
